Flower Care Tips

Once You Get Home
- Start with a clean vessel
- Add cool, fresh water (and flower food if you have it)
- Ensure all leaves are removed from any part of stem that will be in water
- Give your flowers a fresh snip
- Get creative and arrange away

Arranging Tips & Tricks
- When creating an arrangement, use an odd number of stems for a more interesting design
- Add the greenery to your vase before adding flowers. This will help create a grid to help hold the flowers in place and they won’t flop all over
- When adding the flowers to the vase always arrange largest to smallest
- Vary the height of your flowers in the vase to add visual interest
- Add your personality, and enjoy the process

Getting the Longest Vase Life
- Keep flowers out of direct sunlight, heater vents and drafts
- Avoid placing your flowers near ripening fruit or vegetables, especially bananas and apples. The ethylene gas fruit produces will cause flowers to wilt and brown prematurely.
- Recut your flower’s stems every 2-3 days so that they have a nice fresh cut to ensure they continue to drink more water.
- Change the water every 2-3 days.
- Remove dying flowers from your arrangement to help it last longer.
